Medical Welfare Fund
Financial support for members facing serious medical expenses, and discounted healthcare through KSB's hospital tie-ups.
The Medical Welfare Fund, started in 2001, offers financial assistance to poor and needy Kodavas facing major medical expenses. It is intended for those who genuinely cannot bear the cost of treatment, not as an entitlement.
The Fund also organises free annual medical camps and has negotiated discounted rates for members at leading hospitals and diagnostic centres across Bengaluru.
Run by Medical Welfare Fund.
Kodavas in genuine financial need. The Fund is means-tested and intended for the poor and needy.
Hospital bills must exceed Rs. 50,000, except for ongoing terminal illnesses such as renal failure or cancer.
Assistance is not available where the treatment has been claimed through CGHS, ECHS, insurance, or Central or State Government aid. In exceptional cases the committee may consider such applications at its discretion, and any amount received must be clearly declared.
A member can claim only once, including claims for their minor children.
Cases like cataract, dental, and ENT ailments are not covered unless there are serious complications.
Final discretion on every application rests with the Medical Welfare Fund Committee.
