“Thandh–Bendh Global Koota” A Matrimonial Initiative

Kodava Samaja Bengaluru successfully organized

“Thandh–Bendh Global Koota”, a matrimonial initiative, on 22nd March 2026. The event aimed to strengthen community ties and provide a meaningful platform for matrimonial alliances within the Kodava community.

The program was graced by Chief Guest Sri Ponjanda A. Ganapathi, along with distinguished guest speakers including Sri Maletira A. Srinivas, Hon. Secretary of Kodava Samaja, Virajpet; Sri Chottkmada Rajeev Bopaiah, Convenor, Jabhoomi Trust; and Appaneravanda Dr. Sonia Mandappa, a renowned gynaecologist.

The event was enriched by insightful and well-articulated speeches from the guest speakers. Their addresses reflected strong community values, a progressive vision, and a deep sense of responsibility towards preserving and uplifting the Kodava community. Each speaker provided valuable perspectives, inspiring attendees and encouraging active participation in community initiatives.

Adding a global dimension to the event, videos featuring messages and talks from Kodava representatives across the world were played. These presentations highlighted the widespread presence and unity of the Kodava community, further reinforcing the importance of such initiatives.

The Thandh Bendh Global Koota also witnessed a significant milestone, as Kodavamatrimony.com, a prominent matrimonial website, was formally taken over from Puggerra Kiran Nanjappa. The official signing and handing over ceremony from Puggerra Kiran Nanjappa to the Kodava Samaj was done in this occasion.
